Introduction
The Faculty of Economics officially commenced its academic
activities upon the establishment of the university, following formal approval
by the Ministry of Higher Education on 24/10/1388 (Hijri Solar calendar). To date, the faculty has educated 130
female and 604 male students, contributing
them to society as responsible and service-oriented graduates.
The faculty consists of two departments: Management
and Entrepreneurship, and Statistics and Econometrics. The
curriculum for the Management and Entrepreneurship department has been
finalized and completed by a specialized academic team.
The organizational structure of the Faculty of Economics
includes one Dean, one Head of Department, 9 permanent faculty members, and 18 contractual lecturers, along with one Academic Manager and
one Administrative Officer. The current shortage of academic and administrative
staff is due to the relocation of the university from Kabul to Jalalabad and
the admission of students starting from the first semester. At present, the
faculty is offering first- and second-semester programs.
Vision
The Faculty of Economics aspires to play a distinguished role in the country’s
economic growth, research advancement, and social development.
