Admission Process

Admission Process at Tabesh University

This is the admission process and requirements:

1. General Kankor (Entrance) Examination

Graduates of grade 12 may participate in the General Kankor Examination to gain admission to the Faculties of Economics, Journalism, Law, and Sharia.

2.  Specialized Kankor Examination

1.     Only graduates of grade 14 (14th-grade pass students) are eligible to participate in this examination. According to the directive of the Ministry of Higher Education, only graduates of technical and vocational education (14th grade pass) are admitted to the Faculty of Economics. This admission is carried out without grade reduction, based on Ministry of Higher Education letter No. 4300 dated 1444/9/10 and Resolution No. 13 dated 1444/8/16, provided that the applicant’s average score is at least 75%.


2.     Likewise, graduates of religious madrasas and Darul Ulooms (14th grade pass), based on the Ministry of Higher Education Decision No. 4 dated 1444/4/21, may choose the following departments under the Faculty of Sharia:

o   Islamic Education o Fiqh and Law

o   Tafsir and Hadith o Dawah

o   Islamic Sciences and Culture


3.     Graduates may choose all departments of Arabic Language and Literature.

4.     All departments of the Faculty of Law and Political Science are also available for selection.

5.     For admission at the Bachelor’s level, having a minimum average score of 65% is mandatory.

6.     Based on Letter No. 4698 dated 1444/10/12 from the Directorate of Private Students’ Affairs, decided at the level of the Ministry’s Deputyship, graduates of Darul Mu’allimeen (Teacher Training Institutes) Islamic departments are not eligible to be admitted to the Faculty of Sharia as 14th-grade pass applicants.


Article 56 of the Civil Higher Education Law

Graduates of grades 12 and 14, and their equivalent levels, after successfully passing the entrance examination, are admitted as students to the relevant university/institution in accordance with applicable regulations and bylaws.

Conditions for Participation in the Kankor Examination

Graduates of grade 12 may participate in the Kankor Examination under the following conditions:

1.     Possession of a national ID (Tazkira) and a grade 12 certificate approved by the Ministry of Education.

2.     Must not be simultaneously enrolled as a student in another private or public university.

3.     Must comply with all regulations of the university and the Ministry of Higher Education.

4.     Applicants who are eligible and have been introduced to higher education institutions through the government Kankor examination may enroll in the university within two years, based on their obtained scores.


5.     At the time of registration at Tabish University, applicants must present the Kankor admission card.

6.     Participants of the Specialized Kankor Examination must fulfill all the above conditions applicable to 14th-grade graduates in order to be eligible to sit for the exam.

The above principles and procedures have been prepared in accordance with the existing laws and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education.
